Doug has dedicated his life to recording and playing his music. Have a listen, and you'll hear why....
Doug was born and raised in Whitefish, Montana. His Mom, (to this day a fantastic piano player and singer),
forced him into band (drums) in 6th grade. His Dad (who worked for the US Forest Service, and
built the family home) bought him his first drum set in 8th grade. Playing drums in a Montana
Rock band (R Newberry/M Hand/B Porter/A Satterlee/W Svee) all his High School years,
put Music in Doug's Blood for good, and kept him out of trouble.
While attending College in Arizona (DeVry), playing with L Stubbs and G Williams was his
most important time both Musically and Technically. These years set Doug on a path of playing guitar,
piano, singing, and most important of all, Songwriting ! Together they enjoyed AZ Fan and Radio success.
Doug had many achievements in Arizona (having success with bandmates
M Gwinn / M Winterman / B Thomson - opening shows for Stevie Nicks and others).
But as his songwriting skills grew, he realized he had to focus all his energy on only Music.
So Doug relocated his music Operations to Nevada to concentrate on songwriting and
recording while performing for his growing fan base. Doug today splits his time between
Nevada, Tennessee, Arizona and Montana as necessary for music business and family/friends.
Doug's 20 Song CD "One More Cup Of Coffee For The Highway" (released to both Fan and Critical Acclaim
in 2006), showed off Doug's Strong Songwriting and Performance skills. "Hero Angels (click to play)",
Doug's"From the Heart" tribute to our Hero's of 9/11 has gained Doug National and Worldwide attention.
"Hero Angels", since its release has become an Anthem and Inspiration for many people.
Doug is currently recording his second CD, 13 Rock / Pop songs scheduled for release in
Summer 2010 . Doug will be playing live Nationwide in 2011, supporting both Albums.
